This is written from the family waiting room of St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, MN. Please pray for Nick, Andrea's sister Kayla's boyfriend and dear friend of the Froehlich family. He was in a serious car accident yesterday evening and was airlifted to the hospital immediately afterwards. He suffered major internal injuries and the family spent the whole night waiting and praying, fearing that he would not survive. He has been through at least two surgeries thus far and will face more in the future after his condition has stabilized. The internal bleeding seems to be subsiding and his condition is slowly stabilizing. The concern now is that his aorta is torn and could rupture if it is under too much stress. If this happens it is very unlikely that he would survive. He also has broken ribs and several fractures in his vertebrae....we don't really even know the full extent of his injuries at this point.
Pray for the families and for Nick.

We are praying, Andrea, for all concerned, but especially for Nick. He will have such a powerful sense of God's love and purpose when he hears of all the providences that contributed to his survival. The mind of God is so far above ours. He could so easily have prevented this accident but instead His glory is shown in allowing it. Keep us posted. Ellie did forward the caringbridges site. Thanks for praying and for the encouragements! God is so good and faithful. Nick is still in very critical condition, but is doing much better.
